Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen SPF 100+
Summer is Upon Us, well in Australia it is. While you guys in the Northern Hemisphere is heading to Fall, we are getting warmer and Spring will be in 2 weeks! Oh joy, cannot wait for the nice 25C weather. I got this can of body mist from a friend.
Oddly, I have totally missed this product in my earlier search for lightweight sunscreen. I am still using my gel Kose Suncut, which is a cool product from Japan, but only SPF 30.
Very cool, the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer actually sprays sheer layer of sun screen. It is not like body mist, but a slightly filmy texture to it. From here, you can see that the particles are quite fine/ transparent enough. I gave it a good shake too!
He finds everything fun, this naughty brat. Plus he uses my sunscreen, he loves using all my sunscreen, instead of his own. Somehow Prince finds my stuff fascinating, and quite easy to use. The good thing about this spray, it is not that easy to spray. A kid like him would have trouble doing it, it is a lot better. Because most parents would have a nightmare about children over doing things.
You cannot see it! This body mist stuff is pretty awesome. There is product on his little hands, maybe if you click to enlarge? My favorite aspect is the non- greasy feel for a sunscreen.
But I am happy to note that this body mist is nicely transparent and has little fragrance. Plus the film dries smooth. I hate that tacky feeling that something is on my skin, and glad that it does not have it. The only issue is, I am not sure how much to spray on, and if it will stain clothes.
The clothing that we had on was cotton for Brat, and polyester pants on me. =)
Issues that you might have to know:
- You will need to use this in a well ventilated area, given that it has proellants
- This is stabilized with their Helioplex technology, the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer is a chemical sun screen
- You will have to reapply every four hours, or after wet sports / sweating.
- This is not for the face, although I am not sure why.
- Pressurized container means you might not be allowed to pack it in your luggage for travels.
Personally, I would have preferred to have both physical and chemical sunscreen, although for spring season I could still get away with it? For summer this can might run out a little faster. I cannot test how well it works, because not sure how to anyway.
Overall, it is Neutrogena, and it is a strong brand on its own. On a side note, apparently it does third party animal testing as it sells to China. A little sad tidbit, because this is such a good brand to have. King Brat *read husband* is a die- hard fan.
